HEAVY ENTRIES OF STORE SHEEP. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. Entries in tho store sheep section at Addington Market to-day were the heaviest for a number of years, approximating 30,000 ewes and 9,000 lambs. With fat sheep and fat lambs included, tho total penning of sheep was approximated 46,500 head. Store lambs: About 9000 were yarded, mostly from tho back country and unattractive. There was an easing of Is 6d for carry-over sorts but very ordinary ewes sold extremely well with no easing. Store ewes: The big entry included many old ewes which camo back in value, but best station lines wore only slightly easier than at recent fairs. Four-year ewes made to 27s 6d, and two-tooths to 31s. The best of fiveyear ewes also sold well. Fat lambs: There were 2600 penned and a good sale resulted at export rates of from BJd to SAd for firsts. Fat sheep: 5200 were penned and exporters bought freely. There was a good sale, though values were easier by 6d to a shilling a head. Best wethers made from 27s to 325, prime medium weights from 23s to 265, best ewes from 22s to 28s, prime medium weights from ISs to 21s. Fat cattle: 435 were penned, tho bulk being ordinary sorts. Good steers made from £ll to £l3 and prime medium weight from £8 15s to £lO 10s. Good heifers made from £7 10s to £9 12s 6d, and best cows from £7 to £8 10s. Values per lOOlbs were from 2Gs to 29s for best beef and from 23s to 25s for ordinary. Fat pigs: A heavier entry of porkers and an easier market for baconers selling slightly better as a result of a smaller entry and the competition oi exporters. Baconers made from 5d to s}d lb and porkers from 51d to 6d.
