Miss Sybil M. Davies, of the Wanganui telephone exchange staff, has received notice of her "transfer to Palmerston North on promotion. Miss Jean Batten has gone to Prance as the guest of the Aeronautic Club do Prance, wrote a London correspondent on February 22. New Zealand friends will be interested to know that she has been allottod for tlio second year in succession the Challenge Trophy of the Women’s International Association of Aeronautics of the United States of America for the most noted flight of the year. Miss Batten now holds the Gold and Silver Cup. In appreciation of her aviation record, the Royal Empire Society has made her an honorary life member.
