WELLINGTON, Last Night. An anti-cyclone of moderate intensity is moving on to New Zealand. Winds: Light to moderate and variable south-easterlies prevailing over the northern half of the North Island and westerlies in the far south.

B.eas (New Zealand waters): Smooth to moderate.

Eastern Tasman Sea: Light to moderate and variable winds, and smooth to moderate seas.

Weather: Cloudy on parts of the east coast, with morning fog and possibly light drizzle in places, but otherwise fair to fine and warmer.
