RUIN IN TRACK OF TORNADOES AND BLIZZARDS

United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Monday, 9.60 p.m. NEW YORK, Jan. 19. Tornadoes in several southern States and a blizzard which swept up the North Atlantic coastline, took a heavy death toll during the past twenty-four hours. At least seventeen were killed and several scores injured. Tetrific winds demolished rural homos in sections of Florida, Alabama and Georgia. In New York, which is coverod with 8 inches of snow and sleet, eight died from exposure or heart attacks attributable to over-exer-tion in walking through high drifts.
