Mr A. W. Clulee, Government audit inspector, in company with his assistant, Mr J. J. Sythcs, is at present in Pahiatua, and will commence the annual audit of the Borough and County Councils’ books to-day. Mr and Mrs J. A. Mclnncs, accompanied by her mother, Mrs Sharp, of Mt. Albertj' Auckland, and formerly of Pahiatua, are spending a few days as the guests of Mrs M. Robertson, Wakoitian street, after an extensive motor tour of tho South Island. The town clerk, Mr L. D. Lovelock, accompanied by Mrs Lovelock, returned on Saturday from a pleasant holiday in Tauranga. Mr J). Howden, manager of the Bauk of New Zealand, Pahiatua, will leave town this morning with his family on a motor camping trip. Mr Morgan, of Palmerston North, will relieve Mr Howden while he is on holiday.
Mr J. Hutton, county clerk aud two children, returned home on Saturday, from tho South Island, where lie and bis family have been spending their vacation at Dunedin and Timaru.
