New Guinea Tragedy
OFFICIAL SHOT WHILE ASLEEP BY NATIVE CONSTABLE

Mr. E. Colin McDonald, assistant district officer' in New Guinea, whose killing in New Guinea by natives was announced yesterday, was shot while asleep. Ho was murdered on February 27 by a nativo eonstablo in the Sepilc district. The constable, who afterwards attempted suicide, was suffering from jsavere concussion.
