MURDER OF IMBECILE SON United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. LONDON, March 2. Mrs. May Brownhiil, iwho .was found guilty at Leeds of the murder of her 30-year-old imbecile son and sentenced to death, has been released.

Evidence in the case, which, counsel for the prosecution and defence described as the most pitiful that had ever como before that Court, showed that accused had eared for and slept in the same room as her imbecilo son since his birth, but when she found she must undergo a dangerous operation she decided to kill him rather than leave him to the world’s mercy. She gave him 100 aspirins and put a gas pipe into his mouth. Tho Judge agreed with the jury’s strongest possible recommendation to mercy.
