Repairs for Lincoln Ellsworth’s' Plane
BASE SHIP REACHES CHILE United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Thursday, 0.25 p.m. MAG AL LANES (Chile), Nov. 7. The Norwegian exploring vessel Ellsworth,- base ship for the Antarctic expedition financed by Air Lincoln Ellsworth, and headed by Sir Hubert Wilkins, arrived on Wednesday from Deception Island. "We came to get repairs for our ’plane, which was damaged during a south polar storm,” Sir Hubert sail!. ■‘Nobody was hurt. Ellsworth remained at the island with Bcrnt Bulclicii. Dr. Dana and two other explorers. We are remaining at Magallanes at leas! long enough to secure repairs and needed fuel oil. We expect to continue our explorations until ncxl March. ”
