N.S.W. Seeking Budget Equilibrium
PARLIAMENT RE-OPENS United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Received Tuesday, 9.30 p.m. SYDNEY, Aug. 22. The New South Wales Parliament was re-opened to-day by the Governor with the usual ceremony. Eis Excellency, in the course of his speech, said the Ministerial policy was still being directed toward readjustment of Governmental functions and finance in such a way as to stimulate the restoration of industry, and with a view to affording further Telief from taxation a policy would be pursued progressing steadily towards Budget equilibrium, in accordance with tho Premiers’ Conference plan.
