When Eiderdowns Are Soiled

Eiderdowns which are only slightly soiled can be cleaned by sponging with benzine. If they are dirty, wash them in a bath of warm water in which soap has been dissolved and a little ammonia added to remove tho grease. Do not rub, but squeeze and press the eiderdown, lifting it in and out of the water. iu water to which a little vinegar is added, and press the water out, then sling the eiderdown on the line until it is dry.
