A Tennis Star’s Life Strict training is observed by all the women competitors during the fortnight of the Wimbledon lawn tennis championships, says a London writer. Light breakfasts of coffee and roils and orange juce is the rule adopted by all tho foreign women players. , Mornings are given up to shopping. Luncheon is taken early. Steak, vegetables, fruit, and salads are the general rule. Puddings and pastry are strickly taboo. Most of the women players drink two or three pints of water daily, but with their meals. Luncheon is followed by a rest. Brown bread and butter and strawberry jam tea ana coffee are served to women players during the intervals between matches. During the meeting bed by ten is the rule. Miss Helen Jacobs, the American player, is one of the few women competitors on a definite diet, by which she has reduced her weight considerably. Coffee, potatoes, bread, and cakes are all forbidden to her.
