For Feilding Plunket Funds
Although the series of bridge evenings organised by Mrs. Victor Lawrence in aid of local Plunket funds, and carried out with the assistance of Mrs. W. B. Gray, has been running for many weeks there is no evidence of its popularity waning and every Saturday evening sees the Plunket room well filled with players who continue to be keen and enthusiastic. The decorations at last week's party wero delightfully carried out with anemonies and pussy willow, and in spite of the fact that tho evening was intensely cold tho room with its large log fire was cheery, bright and beautifully warm. Mr. V. Lawrence was the prize winner. A very satisfactory amount has already been taken from these jolly littlo functions, and it is expected that at the .end. of the season Plunket funds will have benefited considerably.
