' From Our Own Correspondent. Birthday Party. ’.A very enjoyable party was held last Wednesday evening at the- residence of Mr. arid -Mrs. 11. N. Rowe -to celebrate the coming-of-age of' their eldest son, Adrian. - The ; barn (the -first dairy in Campbelltown,' now- Rongotea) ; was suitably decorated for the' , occasion with coloured streamers, camellias and green-, cry - and very-comfortably .held -the,sixty guests present. . The .evening was spent in games, competitions and mtisical items.- The- coffipetitlon ■ winners :wero Miss-C. Richfield, Miss Stella Duke-and Mr. Donald Rowe. Those who contributed musical items-were Miss -E. M. Rbwe, ■Miss' M.. Rowe, Miss Paterson ,(Foxton); Mi ; s H. Roive, Miss E. Noel, Masters Ed-! ward: and Lewis -Rowe-, Messrs A. Rowe; B -Rowe, i D. Rowe apd Nicholas , Rowe, During supper a J surprise packet . was wdii -by Mr. Adrian Rowe and contained Ws "ke'yi ArspecikL featm-c pf; the* delightful supper was .'the beautiful birthday cake made arid iced by Mrs. H. •N, Rowe. .Mr. N. T. Rowe, .in congratulate ing the young guest upon- attaining his majority, expressed regret at the absence of. Mr. and Mts. Thomas - Rowe, uenr.,' grandparents of Adrian (Mrs, Rowe beirig indisposed), and more so as it was Mrs. Rowe’s birthday the day before. A very happy party broke up at quite a late hour with the singing of the hymn, "How Good is the God we Adore,’ 'and a word of prayer by Mr 4 N e ßowe.
