Collision With Lorry

NATIVE RECEIVES SERIOUS INJURY.

As the result of a collision with a stationary lorry when riding a bicycle, serious injuries wero sustained by a native, Martin Ivarehaua, aged 30, of Foxton, during the week-end. Karckana, it appears, was returning to his homo at Foxton when the accident occurred. The unfortunate man sustained concussion and injuries to tho lower part of his abdomen. Ho was attended by Dn. Wyllie, of Eoxton, and later brought to Palmerston North by the Free Ambulance and admitted to hospital, where an operation was performed. Karehana’s condition was reported as fair last evening.
