Queensland: Watson, Webb, Scott, Mahoney, Kerr, Clague, Langford, Best, C Conlric, Okamura, H. Comrie. During the first half the New Zealanders had difficulty iu working up their combination, but defended soundly and kept Queensland out well, allowing only one goal by C. CoiUrie. The second half saw a great rally by the visitors, with Day doing great work in attack. He soon worked his side into a strong attacking force which allowed Queensland few' chances and then the defence was always sound. Divan, Day and Turbitt were always to the fore in attack and Moore was safe at goal. Dwan und Day worked an opening, gave a chance to Reid and the score was equalised. Then followed even play with both sides revealing class hockey, but with the New Zealanders more finished. Good work by Reid and Turbitt gave New Zealand the lead, the latter's shot finding the net.

Then Spiers and Reid beat the defence and fed Turbitt, who put the ball handily for Day to shoot. Immediately afterwards Reid baffled the opposition with the crowning goal, New Zealand winning by 4 to 1. The gamo was a splendid exhibition throughout and every player was keen, resulting in several brilliant moves. The visitors allowed, although this was only their second game of the tour, that they were really a formidable side and with more practice will more than uphold the high reputation of New Zealand liockcv-ites in this countrv.
