Oroua Licensing Committee
ANNUAL MEETING The annual meeting of the Oroua Licensing Committee was held on Tuesday, there being present Messrs. R. M. Watson, S.M. (chairman), E. Goodbohere, IT. Booth, T. AVatson, J. AY. Bram well and P. G. Guy. Tho police reported that the licensed houses throughout the district had been maintained and conducted in good order, and that everything was at present satisfactory. Publicans’ licenses wore Issued to the following: Alexander McKay (Cheltenham hotel); Berkeley AA'ilson Bunbury (Kimbolton hotel).
Licenses were-renewed as follow: William Harold Moon, Argylc hotel, Huntcrvillc; William Newton Jones, Hastic’s hotel, Feilding; David P ride an x Barrett, Manchester hotel, Feilding: Walter Francis Swift, Apiti hotel; Emma McCarty, Commercial hotel, Ashhurst; James Ernest Reid, Denbigh hotel, Feilding; Evan Henry Jones, Huntcrville hotel; Albert John Havill, Masonic hotel, Ashhurst; William John Rogers, Halcombe hotel; David Lindsay, Royal hotel, Ohingaiti; Rudolph Fcrri. Langholm hotel, Mangawcka; John McKenna, Royal hotel, Bunnytliorpe; John Collie, Rangiwahia hotel; Richard Bevan, Empire hotel, Pci'laing. Wholesale licenses were granted to the following: T. G. Taylor, Ltd., Huntervillc; Barraud and Abraham, Ltd., Feilding; W. N. Watson, Mangawcka.
