Showery, But Improving Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Lats Night. The depression located yesterday over the Tasman Sea developed rapidly into a deep cyclone, the centre of which is now near the Chatham Islands. Winds: South-westerlies, to southerlies, moderate to strong and backing to westerly again to-morrow in and south of Cook Strait. Seas (New Zealand waters): Hough on the West Coast and south of Castlepoint; elsewhere moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Moderate to strong south-west to west winds; seas rough. Weather: Showery at first and with thunder in places, but improving later from the westward. Temperatures cool.
