Sharp Earthquake Shock
Per Press Association. WANGANUI, Last Night. A rather severe earthquake was experienced in Wanganui at 3.45 this afternoon. It could bo heard approach ing for sorno seconds before tho full force was fell, which, when it came was moro in tho naturo of an upthrust, there being no oscillations of suspended objects. WELLINGTON, Last Night. A sharp earthquake shock occurred in Wellington at 3.4-1 this afternoon, the direction apparently being north and south. A fairly sharp shock of earthquake was experienced shortly before 4 p.m. yesterday afternoon at Palmerston North.
