Accidentally Shot With Pearifle
CURIOUS MISHAP AT FITZHERBERT. An unfortunate shooting accident occurred at Fitzherbert last evening, the victim being Mrs. Godson, wife of Air. S. Godson, a Massey College employee. Mr. and Airs. Godson were out shooting rabbits with a pea-rifle when a cartridge failed to fire. They were proceeding to examine tho gun to ascertain the cause when the cartridge exploded, Mrs. Godson receiving the bullet in the stomach. She was rushed to the Palmerston North hospital where an operation was performed.
