From Our Own Correspondent. NEW YEAR’S EVE DANCE. At the conclusion of the spurts cvcnls many of tho onlookers, together with visitors from far and near adjourned to tho hall, whore dancing was carried on until tho ea.-ly morning hours. NEW YEAR’S EVE SPORTS. A large crowd gathered on the recreation grounds on New Year’s Eve, to witness the annual evening sports. The ground was well lighted with electricity, and the function proved most successful and enjoyable. The “star” attraction of the evening was the Just on tho programme, the tug-o’-war, iu which live teams competed. Appended is tho list of prize-winners:— Juvenile Races.
