Still Fair Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. A depression which was in the south Tasman Sea yesterday deepened considerably and was crossing New Zealand to-day. Winds: Northerly at first north oi Westport and Kaikoura but a southerly change extending over the Dominion by the morning w r ith moderate winds generally Dut strong in exposed posi tions. Seas (New Zealand waters): Rather rough on the west coast but rising somewhat on the east coast. Eastern Tasman Sea: Fresh southerly winds veering later to westerlies; seas moderate to rather rough. Weather: Scattered showers south oi New Plymouth and Napier but mainly on the east coast and weather later improving.
