Feilding's Vital Statistics
COMPARISON WITH PREVIOUS YEAR.
Feilding’s vital statistics for the year 1931,'together with those for 1930, have been supplied by the Registrar (Mr. G. E. Pollock) as follow: — In the year .1931 there were registered 148 births, compared with 155 for 1930, a decrease of 7. For tho last quarter of this year the total, registered was 38, compared with 40 for the corresponding quarter of 1930. The marriages registered in 1931 totalled 50, as compared with 54 for 1930. In the concluding quarter of this year the total of marriages was 11 (13 for the corresponding period of 1930). Of these marriages, 4 were solemnised by the Registrar, the same number as in the previous year. Deaths for tho year just closed totalled (3S, and for tho year 1930 the total was 50. For the final quarter of this year the registrations of deaths numbered 11 (13 for tho final quarter of 1930). During the year there were registered one Maori birth and three Maori deaths. In 1930 the figures for Maoris were four births and two deaths.
