TENNIS On Wednesday afternoon the Linton Tennis Club’s team visited Bunnythorpe to play a return friendly match against the local club. The home team was -successful in winning the match on the score of games by 09 to 60, the sets being eight all. Following are the detained scores, Linton players being mentioned first: — Men’s singles: Pringle beat Patience 6—3; White beat Robson 6—o; Beckett lost to Williamson 3—6; Pentecost beat Gore 6 —3. Men’s doubles: Pringle and White beat Patience and Robson 6 —3; Beckett and Pentecost beat Williamson and Gore 6 —3. Ladies’ doubles: Miss Blake and Mrs. Knipo lost to Misses E. and W. Robson; Mrs. Aldrich and Miss Sutherland lost to Mrs. Patience and Miss Godfrey I—6.1 —6. Mixed doubles: Pringle and Miss Blake beat Patience and Miss E. Robson 6 —l; White and Mrs. Knipo beat 11.
