TENNIS MATCH V. MANAWATU CLUB. From Our Own Correspondent. The Bunnythorpe Tennis Club playing against the Manawatu Club on Saturday afternoon at the Recreation ground, defeated Manawatu by 11 sets to four and 109 games to 76. The following were the results:— Men’s singles: F. Patience lost to Hale, 7—9; F. Godfrey lost to W. Wyber, 6 —9; W. Sutherland beat Muirhcad, 9—B; H. Robson beat Corkindale, 9—5. Ladies’ singles: Miss E. Robson beat Miss Christian, 7—3; Miss W. Robson beat Miss Hoskiug, 7 —3; Miss M. Godfrey beat Miss Weekes, 7 —o; Mrs.' Patience beat Miss Woolf, 7 —o. Men’s doubles: Patience and Sutherland lost to Wyber and Hale, 5 —9; Godfrey and Robson lost to Muirhead and Corkindale, 4 —9. Ladies’ doubles: Misses E. and W. Robson beat Misses Christian and Hale, 7 —o; Mrs. Patience and Miss Gc/frey beat Misses Weekes and Woolf, 7 —4. Mixed doubles: F. Patience and Miss E. Robson beat Hale and Miss Christian, 9—3; Godfrey and Miss W. Robson beat Wyber ' and Miss Ilosking, 9—7; Robson- and Miss Godfrey boat Corkindale and Miss Woolf, 9 —7. One set was not finished.
