SOCCER MATCH FOR PATRONS TO SHOW
PROTEST TO A. AND P. ASSOCIATION. At the meeting of the management committee of the Manawatu Football Association last evening, exception was taken to a statement by Mr. M. A. Eliott at the last meeting of the A. and P. Association committee, that when the Soccer match started people left the stand. The. chairman stated that the stand was full although some of those people might have gone early to get a seat for tho big Rugby match. A Soccer fixture "had been on the A. and P. programme for many years, and in addition, there were many people who were pleased to see the only appearanco of Flock House boys in public. Mr. Young also contradicted an impression held by tht. A. and P. Association secretary that it was necessary for the Football Association to apply for a match. In past years, the A. and P. Association secretary had always asked that a game be put on. It was decided to write to the A. and P. Association committee in protest, pointing out the above facts and asking that the position be reviewed.
