Bishop Molyncaux, who arrived from Sydney by UJiniciroa, is associated with a story of adventure in one of the Now Hebrides islands several months ago. He was informed that a French recruiting vessel wa3 taking away against her will a native married woman. He asked the captain to release the woman. The captain dared him to set foot on the vessol but the Bishop did so. Brushing aside tho gun levelled at his head. He had an arm injured by a club and in tho confusion, the woman jumped into the Bishop’s boat and was carried home in triumph.
