REVIEWED BY SIR JOSEPH WARD £2,153,000 LOANED SINCE DECEMBER 10. • Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. An outline of the operations of the State Advances department from December 10, 1928 to April 16 was given by the Prime Minister at the annual meeting to-night of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce. Loans to settlers for the period under review said the Prime Minister amounted to £1,211,420 and loans to workers to £941,990, making a grand total of £2,153,410. New loan monies added to the department for that period amounted to £3,012,094. the balance of loan monies hold available for investment was £2,395,544.
