Warm Rains
A depression has advanced across the south Tasman and is row crossing the South Island. It is followed bv a secondary depression. The cyclone in the northern Tasman has disappeared. Expect moderate to strong northerly winds, reaching gale force at times in and south of Cook strait, later baching, to westerly and southerly with a change probable after about 24 to 36 hours; rather rough to rough about Cook and Fcveaux straits and on the west coast of the (South Island; elsewhere smooth to moderate; moderate to strong north to west winds and moderate to rather rough seas in the eastern Tasman. The weather will be mainly fair iu Auckland ami Hawke’s Bay, elsewhere changeable and showery. Warm temperatures but’somewhat cooler later. (Standard Time). Sun (to-day). Rises, 5.45 a.m.; sets, 6.3 S p.m. To-morrow. Rises, 5.46 a.m.; sets, 6.36 p.m. Moon (to-day). Rises, midnight; sets, 4.5 p.m. ' To-morrow. Rises, 0.38 a.m.; sets, 4.49 p.m.
