SEAPLANE WITH SIX ABOARD MISSING IN B.C.

Received Monday, 5.5 VANCOUVER, Aug, 26.* A big commercial seaplane, with four passengers and two pilots, which left Victoria for Vancouver on Saturday morning, is missing. It is feared, that owing to heavy fog she headed right into the water and sank immediately. Commander Price, with a Navy seaplane, searched for the missing machine and found a largo oil spot, with no trace of the plane. *Tho flight would normally take one hour. The passengers are: Mr. Alexander MacCullum Scott, an English member of Parliament, and a barrister and his wife; also Mr. Thomas Lake, Far Eastern manager of the Union Oil Company, and Dr. D. B. Holden, of Victoria. Mr. Scott, former morph or of thg House of Commons for the Bridgetown Division, Glasgow, in 1922, was visiting Canada for pleasure. There was no trace of the machine late on Sunday, It is believed the pilot mistook heavy fog for a cloud bank, dived under, struck the water, and foundered.
