Father Off Co Australia in Quest of Missing Solaier Son
NEW 3EAL-AKDEH UNHEARD OF FOR NINE YEARS. On AVednesday last there left New Zealand lor Australia in search of his missing soldier son, Mr. Andrew AVest, of Morrinsvillc. The son, Mr. Percival AVest, was wounded during the war, and on his way home was disembarked at Adelaide and taken to hospital there. This was some nine years ago. Since that time the fate of the New Zealand ex-serviceman has been clouded in mystery.

A New Zealander returning from trio war wounded was taken lu hospital in Adelaide some nine years ago and since then his relatives have been unable to learn anything of his fate. The soldier was Mr. i'crcival West. His father, Mr. Andrew AVest, of Morrinsvillc, left for Australia for the second time on AVednesday in the hope of tracing his son.
When the war broke out Mr. Pcrcival West, who was in Australia, joined one
of the first Australian regiments. He was wounded three times, but continued on active service throughout the war.
When peace was declared Mr. West, who was suffering from the effects of a wound, was shipped back and sent to hospital at Adelaide. From there he last wrote to his people. Mr. West Snr., wont to Australia intending to bring his son back, but could find no trace of him. The father has now provided himself with papers from the Defence Department, and is going to Australia to renew the search.
