BIG WINTER SHOW
Wo have been asked to agaia remind our readers that the entries for all competitive sections of the Show, including poultry, will close with the Secretary on Tuesday, sth. June. Those who have not as yet received a copy of the Prize List should communicate with the secretary immediately and sent entries in early. Preparations for the Show are now well in hand, and excellent programmes of dog trials, horse events, and football will bo provided, amongst the football games being (he Te Ante Native College versus Palmerston North Boys' High School. The Kailway Department is running a Special Farmers’ Train from the North, and for the honour of Palmerston North we must see to it that none of our visitors lack board and lodging. The Manawatu Poultry Association Show which is hold in conjunction is expected to bo a record exhibition for which extra accomodation will be necdcn. This Show, which is the finest in the Dominion, will also incorporate the following Specialist Club Shows: — North Island Game Fowl, and Game Bantam; N. 1 1. Ehodc Island; N. Z. Wyandotte; N. Z. Orpington; and Palmerston North Canary Club. An unusually long and attractive list of Special Prizes is scheduled which it is hoped will induce very large entries. Last year’s display of Canaries was a revealation to many and it is expected that the very full list of specials offered will bring even more entries. Prize Schedules may be had free on application to the Secretary, Box So, Palmerston North.
