EDUCATION MATTERS
MEETING OF WANGANUI BOARD,
At Wednesday’s meeting of the Wanganui Education Board several matters of Manawatu interest were dealt with.
The chairman’s report rcfered to the following schools: —Central Infants: Repairs to the spoutings and the renewal of two gutters have been carried out. Hokowhitu! A new bicycle shed has been erected to house 30 machines, and the original building (erected by the committee) has been completed by the board’s staff. Taonui: Thc_ school and Outbuildings have been repaired in readiness for painting. Linton: The school, residence and outbuildings have been painted in two coats. Two rooms of the residence have been renovated and .e-papered. To Arakura: A new tank-stand is being erected and an additional tank provided. Bulls: The painters have in hand and nearing completion the painting of the Technical School buildings, teacher’s residence and all out-buildings and the wood and iron'Work -of primary school building in two coats. Milson’s Line: The whole of the painting work in connection with the new buildings has been completed.
