THE HOLIDAYS. (From Our Own Correspondent.) Willi (he- exception of one or two showerv days very pleasant weather was experienced during the term holidays, thereby enabling the children to spend practically all their time out of doors. They arc now, however, quite ready and willing to go back to the school of which in this district they happen to be particularly fond. School -will re-open on Monday, our new mistress, Mrs Howell, being now .installed in the school residence and ready to begin her duties at the beginning of the week. Personal. Mrs Bisson and children of Napier, who have been the guests of Mrs Edgar Green, Cinder Hill, have now returned to their home. Mr. Nathan Meads of Auckland, is spending the winter months with his daughter, Mrs D. Younger, Cinder Hili. Mrs D. D. Henderson and family left Stanway on Friday for their home in Hawera. Miss Gladys Green has just returned from a delightful month’s holiday spent in Hawera, Miss Gardner leaves “Cluuy Hills” to day for Wanganui. The many friends of Mrs T. Callingham will regret to learn that her daughter Mrs W. McLennan, of Halcombe, has been obliged to enter a. private hospital at, Martou where she now lies awaiting an operation. Wo wish her a. very speedy recovery, her little daughters Mavis and Esme, are to be (he guests for some weeks of Mrs Robert Fergusson, Kakaviki.
