Auckland Board Not Satisfied Would Suit
DIFFERENCE OF OPINION MANIFESTED

AUCKLAND, Last Night.
The .Auckland Education Board is not satisfied, that local climatic ce«ditions are suitable for the erection of open air schools in the city. Application was received at to-day's meeting of the Board from Avondale South householders to have proposed additions to the local school erected ou the open air principle. But the matter was referred back- to the school committee for further consideration. ,
Chairman A. Burns said that they heard glowing accounts of the open air system from the south and the Board did not want to appear hidebound in tho matter. Mrs N. E. Eerner testified to tha success of the open air institution at Cashmere Hill, Christchurch, and expressed disappointment at the fact that the Board's architect had not made re j commendations concerning the scheme.
On the other hand Mr. T. M. Wells said he had visited certain open air schools and ho was not over-impressed with them.
