FIRST MOVIES OF RUA AND HIS WIVES

(Per Press Association) WHAKATANE, Last Night. Mr. Hudall Hayward, picture producer, returned from (lie Urewera country with the guide, Mr. T. Davis, this morning, having secured the first motion pictures over made of (lie Maungapohatu mountain and village and the prophet Rua and his wives. The producer was given a groat reception by the natives and a feast and dance wore held in his honour. Unique pictures of Tiaha fighting the sacred mountain of Maungapoliatu and the modes of living wore secured. The entire village toolc part in the final scenes of the To Kooti trail filrp. some of Te Kooti's original warriors taking part.
