Ranfurly Shield Results MANAWHENUA £1369- IN CREDIT A meeting of the Management Committee of the Manawhenua Rugby Union was held at Levin yesterday when delegates from both districts were present. A letter was received from the Taranaki Union expressing their thanks to the Management Committee for the hospitality shown the visiting members of the Union. The chairman announced that after paying all accounts the Union would be £1369 in credit with no further commitments for the season. Tha match, Manawhenua v. Otago, ho stated would clear its own expenses. I t was resolved on the motion of the chairman that the sum of £I2OO be placed on fixed deposit for the ensuing nine months. It was also deciedd that special general meeting which w-as to be held at Levin on Monday for the purposa of considering Horowhenua’s request for equal representation, was postponed until September 23rd.
