RECORD FOR NEW ZEALANDER. (Per Press Association.! WELLINGTON, Last Night. A remarkably fine performance was put up In the high-jump at the Olympic Club sports meeting yesterday. Brady and Skeats both cleared sft 10 Jins. The former then went on to achieve six feet. This is the best jump ever recorded by a New Zealander in New Zealand. The Australasian record is 6ft. IJins. made by Kelly (of Victoria), which was also put up In New Zealand. Brady endeavoured to clear 6ft IS Inches and only failed by a touch. [The official record high-jump is 6ft. 7 5-16, achieved by E. Beeson in 1914, in California. H. M. Osborne (Chicago) ig credited with a jump Of 6ft. SJins., but his performance is not recognised.]
