MEETING OP THE COMMITTEE.

The committee of the Feilding A. and P. Association met on Friday evening, Mr. E. E. Short presiding. A suggestion from Mr, H. B. Johnston (Cheltenham) that the Association should accept ewe hoggets in the wool in October, shear them and keep till the Show for judging was not accepted by the committee. The matter of revising the list of local judges* on behalf: of the Royal Society was left in the hands of Messrs. Short, Derraer, McLean and Burrell. , A letter from the Manawatu Auctioneers’ Association regarding the question of pooling at the ram fair was referred to the Ram Pair Committee for action. Both the president and the secretary referred to the valuable help given by the railway, officials in the matter' of transport of stock for the Show. Special reference was made to the help and interest of the commercial agent of the Department, Mr." Pringle. Votes of thanks were accorded Messrs. W. Morton (district member). W. H. Brewster and A. E. Sandilarids for their help at the Show. Mr. F.' Boddy eulogised the work of thq competitors in the Romney sheep judging competitions. The two awards, which were made to pupils of the. Feilding Agricultural High School were the subject of complimentary remarks by the the competition.
