ThG “Times” Paris correspondent reports that a disquieting situation has arisen In the French protectorate of Tunis. It Is now admitted that the young Tunisian movement Is taking definite shape, and with Gomhtunlst encouragement, is assuming the character of a nationalist demand for independence.
M. Lucian Saint, the French Resi-dent-General In Tunis, has come to Paris specially to discuss the situation and has had a lengthy conference with M. Herriot. Secrecy is being maintained, but it Is understood M. Herriot has ordered an inquiry into affairs In Tunis.
