DORSET’S HOME-COMING

With 500 men o£ the 2nd Dorset Regiment on board, the transport Derbyshire reached Southampton recently. Aiany touching remiyns took place as the soldiers disembarked. The regiment has seen much arduous foreign service, having left England in October, 1906, and some of the troops have not been home for 17 years. Part of their service was in Mesopotamia during the war, and they were at Kut when General Townsend surrendered. The Mayor (Alderman Mouland) and the members of the corporation

gave a civic welcome to the troops, who afte;v rrds entrained tor Aldershot.
