RUGBY FOOTBALL.
ALL BLACKS’ manager. I [Per Press Association. 1 WELLINGTON, Last Night. At the Wellington Rugby Union meeting to-night, the Wairarapa Union wrote stating no better man could be secured as manager of the All Blacks’ team' than Mr McKenzie, president of the Wairarapa Union, and it intimated that it had instructed its delegate to nominate him for the position at the annual meeting of the New Zealand Rugby Union. With the remark; “We have already taken the attitude that the uestion is one for the management committee,” the letter was received. CHRISTCJHUItOH RECOMMENDATION. CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. At to-night’s meeting of the Canterbury Rugby Union, it was decided to nominate Mr F. S. Wilson as manager of the All Blacks. With reference to the suspension of the Marist Club over its refusal to play Otago Varsity for the Payne trophy last year, it was agreed to afford the Chib an opportunity of explaining its case to a general meeting of delegates on Saturday night, with an independent chairman, the Union to abide by the decision of the meeting. Mr F. T. Evans is to be asked to preside.
