[Per Press Association.! GISBORNE, Last Night. The Harbour Board to-day received reports from Mr Furkert, engineer in chief, on various alternatives to the Reynolds scheme, which was approved by the ratepayers two years ago. The upshot was that Mr Furkert recommended that none could be preferred to the Reynolds scheme, The Board decided to invite Mr Leslie Reynolds to supply details as to the modus operand! in connection with his scheme, and a committee was set up to approach a bank with the object of getting a quotation for raising part or whole of the loan of £750,000.
