TRUSTEES DISHONEST*. (Per Press Association). AUCKLAND, Last Night. A trustee's dishonesty was revealed in the Police Court to-day. when Herbert Stanlev Harrison, aged 39, was charged with the theft of £392 0/7 received by him on December 21 last as trustee in the estate pf the late Thomas Purdy Cooke, on terms requiring him to account for the money. Accused pleaded guilty and' was committed for sentence. The police evidence showed that accused said the amount was the only sum he had converted to his own use. His wife was very ill at the time and he had written to the beneficiaries that he had taken the money and wanted to make restitution.
