HOSPITAL AFFAIRS.
MEETING OF THE BOARD. A meeting- of the Palmerston North Hospital Board was held yesterday. There wore present: Sir James Wilson (chairman), Messrs F. Pycroft, hi. A. Moody, D. Collis, H. Smart, G. A. Monk, W. Bram-well, J. H. Vincent, L. T. McLean and W. Murdock. CORRESPONDENCE. The following correspondence was dealt with: —
From tire Board’s architects, in rcplv to complaints of defects in the electrical wiring in the new buildings at the Hospital. The writers stated that the system had been tested ami they could not understand the faults referred to. The matter was more one for the contractors than for them. Thev requested that the Board furnish further details of the defects, so that it might l)e ascertained whose was the responsibility.—Received. The Mayor (Mr J. A. Nash, M.P.) in a letter to the Board, urged Pic claims for assistance of the parents of a child suffeffring from infantile paralysis.—lt was resolved that the mater be left in Hie hands of the chairman and Mr Pycroft. The Defence Department, in reply to the Board, advised that there were no niulto slabs at the Trentham Hospital, such as the Board desired. There were however, some Bristow tables for disposal when the Trentham Hospital was closed.
