TO-DAY'S POLL.

There are still some people who do not understand that to-day's poll for the Mayoralty, the borough election, and the Hospital Board election is on the electoral franchise, and not on tlus ratepayers' roll. That is to say that, any person of the age of 21 years who has taken the trouble to enrol Avill be entitled to vote on all three issues. Those on the ratepayers' roll will also be entitled to vote. The Mayoralty is a straight-out contest between Mr J. A. Nash, the out-going Mayor, and .Senior-Councillor Crabb. There are sixteen candidates for the nine seats on the Council. Voters are entitled to strike out as many names as they like, provided they leave no more than nine on the list. ' There are four candidates for the three vacancies on the Hospital Board, namely, Mrs Lionel Abraham, Messrs H. C. Le Grange, J. A. Nash, and Frederick Pycroft. Mr Lo Grange is standiug on behalf of the Labour Representation Committee and Mr Pycroft is the candidate of the Friendly Societies.
