A Russian wireless message states: We have advanced towards Eeval to the Lokska-Jvolk line. We have captured Rorastzkoe, near Wendon, also Komorshof on the Dvina, and tlssiasny on the Sventziany, and the oPnovash Railway. We have taken Ufa, which is the capital of the White Guards, westward of the Urals. The Lithuanian and Bourgeoise Governments have left Vilna for Kovno.. GERMANS GETTING OUT. A wireless Russian official message says; Ukrainian Soviet troops have taken several villages in the neighbourhood of Nagrodan, Kharkoff and Trupansk. The Germans fleeing from Kharkoff have requested rolling stock, which thej railwayman have agreed to supply, provided the Germans will give tip arms. The German evacuation of Vilna will be completed at the sth January. Chaos and anarchy reigns at Brest Litvosk, whore the fortresses have been dismantled. CRUELTIES IN BIOSCOW. "Le Journal ’ ’ publishes a letter from Pctrograd, showing how the Red Guards suppressed a big revolt by the peasants against the Bolsheviks in Moscow district recently, with frightful cruelties, including wholesale massacres and burnings. ALLIES POLICING VARIOUS FRONTS. (Received Thursday, 11.35 p.m.) [Aust. and N.Z Cable Association.] STOCKHOLM, Dec. 31. Swedish volunteer troops have landed at Esthonia from French transports. Two battalions of Turcos, Arabs and Algerians have arrived at Odessa. The French and Italians will occupy Stamboul, and the British will occupy Warsaw. Hordes of Bolsheviks arc bombarding Lemberg with small guns. The “Tageblatf ’reports from Posen state there were over two hundred casualties in street lighting. Martial law has been proclaimed.
