ME GERARD'S MISSION. (Aust. aad N.Z. Cable Association.) NEW YORK, Oct. 6. The "New York Evening Post" declares that it has learned authoritatively that the American Ambassador (Mr Gerard), who is en route to America from Berlin, is bringing the Kaiser's request that President Wilson will, on behalf of Germany, ask the Allies to. stop the war.
