LONDON, Sept. 26. There is increasing confidence iu Britain in the ultimate success of the Allied cause. Constantinople reports the resignations of the Shiek-ul-Islam (head of the Moslem faith) and Prefect Ismet Bey, as a protest against the continuation of the war against the Entente. Great importance is attached to these resignations. PETEOGKAD, Sept. 26. The Goeben appeared in the Black Sea fifty miles from the Bop>horus and cut off the retreat of Russian torpedo craft, which was skilfully handled and escaped. The ftovbtv'? fire was inaeeurate.
