BUSH FIRES.

ALARM AT GISBORNE. A Press Association states that bush fires are reviving in several parts of the district, including Te Karaha, Maugatu, Matawai, Rakauroa,. Settlers are arranging to fight for their homes, and at Rakauroa Mr Graham's woolshed and outnouses are causing anxiety. There is anxiety also for Mr McLachlan's place, where, as elsewhere, the dense smoke is hampering operations. The woolshed there is now safe. Rain is threatening.
