RUAPEHU TRAGEDY.
THE MISSING MAN.
BODY FOUND IN STREAM. (Press Association. —By Telegraph. Ohakune, Last Night. Word was received from a search party at about five o'clock this afternoon to the effect that the body of the mssing man Bingham had been recovered at about 9.15 in the morning by a party consisting of Messrs Blyth, Christie, Hyde, Tansey and Oarr. The body was found in about five feet of water, about half a mile •above the waterfall and seven miles up the creek from the Viaduct. Tlie party which found the body returned and left the body to be brought in by a relay party, which is expected to arrive here to-morrow. The stream where the body was lound was very rough and Bingham apparently met his death by falling over a ledge. The body is not badly knocked about, but there is a wound on the forehead, probably caused by his striking a boulder in hi* fall. An inquest will probably be held to-morrow.
